Sojourn's Story

We are a 501(3)c nonprofit committed to “no woman travels alone.” We create life giving experiences that connect women with other women and with God. These include Bible studies (both online and in person), retreats, speaking at events, and our Martha Esther grant program.

We are based in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota. Sojourn is governed by a board and is led by a team with Dienna Goscha as the teacher and director. Dienna started Sojourn 13 years ago. Since that time, we have met at the YMCA, in Caribou coffeeshops, in her home, at various churches and online.

Dienna writes all the studies. She has a background as a teacher, writer and pastor. Her passion is helping women learn more about God's word, creating space for women to explore their faith in creative ways, and building community where women will find a place to belong.

Sojourn values women from different backgrounds coming together. We ask that we steer clear of politics and denominational loyalty. Also, please be aware that not all women joining us are Christians. We are open to anyone who would like to connect with other women through studying Scripture. We honor each woman’s story. No matter where you come from or who you are. . . WELCOME!
